Ben works across the group of companies to ensure we make the most of our technology. He specialises in digital transformation, utilising his broad experience in the pensions industry as well as Innovation, Systems, Business Process Improvement, Operations, Business Development as well as Data Analytics, Leadership and Management.
He joined in January of 2020, and has over 20 years experience in the pensions industry, working in varied roles at Mercer, from consulting to Actuarial Process Leader for UK Retirement and later as part of the Innovation Hub for EMEA and the Pacific regions. The past few years he has worked for a data analytics start-up, Analytics Engines and set up the UK Forensics and Integrity team in the Northern Ireland Innovation and Delivery Centre for Ernst & Young (EY).
His spare time is spent with his family, and given half a chance getting them all to the beach to get surfing; He volunteers at The Wave Project, which helps children with anxiety issues through surfing via GP referrals; He is Chair of Boom! studios, giving artists headspace and workspace and is Vice Chair of The Bytes Project, a technology charity improving the employment prospects of disadvantaged youth. Finally he is involved in Northern Ireland’s first Friends of the Earth local group, focussed on concrete actions we can do improve our environment.
